Worked a dealer back in the day and we got a 06' CTS V coupe, 6 speed in on trade. I took it home for the weekend and we raced that dam thing all night long! I had a 06' WRX, upgrade turbo, injectors, intake, catless downpipe, exhaust, tuned by keith, and a bunch of other stuff. My buddy whooped my ass all night in that damn caddy, and everybody else we raced. that thing hauled ass outta the box. I was kinda jealous, not gonna lie. Took it back on monday, had it washed and tucked back out on the lot.

Looks like a Ply Splice under the tread saw alot of them when i built tires for Armstrong and Pirelli

Build issue with the tire. Seen a few other people in the past weeks with the same issue. Contact M/T for a replacement.

I would honestly as for a refund on those tires that’s extremely bad

never mind.....YES, another guy is right. The "splice" in the mfg process is essential. either its not placed together correctly and can create a 'bulge' or if too tight and pulls that section down leaving a trough of sorts.

and did this occur on both rears?

I had a similar issue with PBRs, I figured it was the beadlocks, but ended up changing to a different wheel/tire altogether...Hoosier DR2 are similar to PBR, but maybe even more forgiving on poor surfaces
